There's some exciting news for those flying to the convention! Sons of Norway is proud to announce that Borton Overseas is the Official Travel Partner of the 2010 International Convention. Please note the closest major airport is in Spokane, WA, which is about 35 miles from the convention site. There are a number of airlines that service this airport, and delegates should be aware of that they will need to make arrangements for transport from the airport to the Coeur d’Alene Golf and Spa Resort. There are a few options currently, and we anticipate more becoming available as the convention gets nearer.
Right now the options for delegates and guests are:
- Resort Shuttle—round trip fares of $59 per passenger; $45 one-way. Advance reservations required. Contact 1-800-688-5253 for scheduling.
- Omnibus Shuttle—one-way fares are $50 for the first person and $5 for each additional person up to seven. Reservations required. Bus available for $200 for parties of up to 20 people with a two-week notice. Call (208) 667-6664.
Hotel Information:
The 2010 International Convention will be held at the Coeur d’Alene Golf & Spa Resort. With its spectacular setting at the shore of one of America's most beautiful lakes, it is no wonder that Coeur d'Alene has been christened the "Playground of the Northwest".
The Resort offers lakefront and lake view rooms and suites, designed from the ground up with guest comfort in mind. Each room is exquisite, featuring superior sound proofing, individual ventilation units, elevated beds, sofas, spacious bathrooms, widescreen LCD flat-panel television displays, CD players, high-speed internet access and reading chairs. All maximize the spectacular views of the lake and surrounding mountains, while providing guests with an upscale residential atmosphere.
Reservations can be made one of three ways:
All delegates are strongly encouraged to stay at the convention host hotel during the convention, but if you are planning to come in early or stay beyond the convention dates, there are a number of other hotels in the area to enjoy.
